Boy Scouts of America
Teaches Scouting values based on character, citizenship, and personal fitness found in the Scout Oath and Law. Meets weekly on Mondays at 7:00 pm
Catholics Returning Home
Offers a safe, loving environment where Catholics who have been away from the church may return to the fullness of the faith.
Choir
Offers adult and children's music groups and a teen ensemble to provide vocal and instrumental musical accompaniment for masses and worship services. Children’s Music Ministry was formed in Fall of 2009 to encourage the participation of children/youth in the Mass. The children in the music ministry range in age from 2nd to 8th grade.
Communications MInistry
Maintains the Divine Savior website so that it is an engaging, up-to-date website with accurate information utilizing state of the art technology.
Cub Scouts of America
Provides beginning Scout activites for boys in grades 1 through 5, focusing on values-based youth development. Pack #310 meets once monthly on 3rd Mondays while dens meet weekly on Mondays.
Environment Ministry
Prepares the church with decorations seasonally, and creates altar floral decorations weekly.
Eucharistic Ministry
Assists in the distribution of the Eucharist at Saturday & Sunday Mass. Time commitment - Two masses per month.
Fundraising: Crab Feed
Plans and presents the annual crab feed and silent auction held in the Multi-Purpose Bldg.
Greeter Ministry
Welcomes the parishioners and visitors before each Sunday Liturgy.
Hospitality
Coordinates volunteers to bring cookies and fruit for all Sunday masses.
Knights of Columbus
Support family, parish and the faith by helping the parish with quick response to many projects. Prayer, encouragement and cooperation unites the Knights as Christian Gentlemen.
Lectors Ministry
Proclaims the Word of God from Scripture at mass. Time commitment-One Mass/month, or less.
Lent & Advent Study Group
Studies Scripture as married couples, meeting in each others' homes on Thursday evenings during Lent and Advent.
Loaves & Fishes Ministry
Participates in the Loaves and Fishes Meal Program once a month at the center, 1300 North C Street, Sacramento.
Lunch Brunch
Meets once a month for a social lunch. Parish fellowship is the goal.
Manna Ministry
Provides meals to those in emergency need for one time or longer.
Marriage Preparation
Supports engaged couples through classes and mentors to prepare for the sacrament of Marriage.
Ministry to the Homebound
Serves the homebound by bringing Communion and prayer to the infirm at-home and those living in elder care facilities.
Peace Prayer Ministry
Actively promotes the desire for peace individually, within the community and worldwide
Photo Directory & History Ministry
Organizes and manages the process of creating a parish photo directory. Also collects historical photos for parish records if requested to do so.
R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Offers instruction and faith sharing for adults interested in becoming members of the Catholic Church as well as Catholics seeking an update in their faith. Inquiry sessions meet between the 9:30 and 11:30am Sunday masses.
Sunshine Ministry
Sends out cards of support to those on our Prayer List as well as when our parishioners are known to be sick or in sorrow.
Tech Team Ministry
Operates the overhead screens and sound system for the church. Time Commitment - One Mass/week.
U.S. Catholic Catechism for Adults
Teaches the Catechism of the Catholic Church in a seminar format to reinforce the ideas and principles that make us Catholic and explains how they came to exist.
Ushers Ministry
Seats the assembly and gathers the Offertory. Time commitment - One Mass/week.
Vocation Ministry
Prays for vocations to the religious life. Sponsors the "traveling" vocation cross within our church community.
Welcoming the Newly Registered
Connects with newly registered parishioners through phone contact, mailed notes, person-to-person meetings, etc. to welcome them into the Divine Savior parish.
