A Message From Fr. Octavio:
In Luke’s account of “The Cleansing of Ten Lepers,” we realize that of the ten lepers Jesus healed, only one came back to thank Him. (Lk 17:11-19). That brings us to the point of ‘being thankful.’ We are called to follow the example of the one who was healed and returned to Him to show gratitude for what He has done in his life.
We are called to build a daily habit of acknowledging all the good in life we already have. And so, as thankful followers of Jesus Christ, we called “to bloom where we are planted.” And by that, we bring the presence of God and God’s Goodness through Jesus Christ wherever we go.
And so, as grateful children of God, we are encouraged to show our gratitude for how much we have received from God by sharing our treasures, gifts, time, and talents to meet the needs of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Online Giving
For your convenience, Divine Savior offers the opportunity to contribute to the parish by using a credit card, checking or savings. This method allows flexibility regarding the frequency of giving, whether that be weekly, monthly, annually or even a one time donation. These options are safe, secure and convenient and can be easily set up by creating a personal profile.

Here are some ways you cancontribute financially to the parish:

Weekly contributions - please mail envelope or drop it off at parish mail box by front door of office. OR, utilize our safe and secure Online Giving system.

- Select the category or categories and the enter the amount for each.
- Select the frequency and start date.
- Click continue and you can enter your bank or card information on the next page.
Set up Giveplus Text Giving:- Enter our parish's 10 digit Giveplus text number: 1-844-905-1795 in the "to" line and the amount you wish to donate in the "message" line, then press send.
- You will receive a registration link.
- Click the link and enter the contact and payment information.
- Tap "process".
After registration is complete, you will receive a verification text as well as a receipt via email. Save the Giveplus text number in your phone and when you give in the future, it will process automatically.
Gifts of Stock and Securities – Divine Savior parish accepts donations of appreciated stocks and securities. This method of giving provides a tax benefit in the deferral of capital gains. In addition, you can have your annual IRA required minimum distribution sent directly to Divine Savior as a donation so it is not counted toward your annual gross income.
Retirement Funds - It's recommended to consult your tax or financial advisor before making financial decisions. Stock donations are coordinated by contacting Katie at the parish office. For details, see: Tax Smart Way for Retirees to DonateBeneficiary on life insurance or investments - Remember Divine Savior parish in your Will or Estate Planning or as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy – Please contact the parish office to obtain appropriate information. With that information, the next steps typically include consulting an attorney and/or tax professionals. Using this method, Divine Savior is listed as a beneficiary for whatever amount or percentage of the estate is to be donated to the parish.
Weekly Envelopes – Envelopes are mailed every other month to every registered household in the parish that has requested this method. Included in these packets is an envelope for weekly offering to the parish, for Holy Days as well as envelopes by which we can support the parish Building Fund/Campus Development Fund, our St. Vincent de Paul Society and supplies for our church environment.

Thank you to all parishioners who contributed. This year, the faithful response of nearly 22,000 Catholic households has enabled Catholic Charities to respond to more than 362,000 neighbors in need. The lives that have been touched by this generous support is described in the Sacramento Diocese 2020 Report of Gratitude.

25% of what is offered is returned to our parish to support our charitable efforts to the local community. To date, our parish will be granted $26,986 to support St. Vincent de Paul Society and other charitable efforts.
