Sacrament of Reconciliation

First Reconciliation: Children, ages 7 and older, who are baptized and have attended at least one year of faith formation, prepare for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

Preparation for First Reconciliation & First Eucharist is a family process in which the parents and children meet four times in the Fall to prepare for First Reconciliation in December and five times in the Spring to prepare for First Communion in May.  Parents and children enjoy coming together as small communities of faith with coaches and materials to guide them. Adult information and discussions are provided during these sessions on Wednesday evenings.  The children, who are in this process, continue their faith formation sessions on Sundays at their own grade level.

Volunteer Opportunities:  Sacraments Formation leader/coach – Using materials from Whole Community Catechesis, the coach guides a small group of parents and their children for each session.
