I have been privileged to be Director of Liturgy and Worship at Divine Savior since August 2016. Previously, I was the Director of Liturgy and Music at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Clovis, where I had worked and worshiped since 1999, and also taught music at the parochial school. I have worked as a liturgist since 1992, and have certifications in liturgical, music and catechetical ministry as well as grief ministry. Social justice ministries, including LGBTQ ministry are also important to my heart. Since my birth in Indiana, college years in Texas and eventual move to California, my life has been filled with blessings; the biggest has been being a mother to my five children.
I am a cancer survivor, near fatal car accident survivor, and divorce survivor, and I am overwhelmingly grateful for the miracles of these events as well as for the everyday miracles we all experience.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. And see the lilies of the field. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.Mt 6:25-34
